Springwood Cottages - Beach and Shoreline

Located on the shores of Kennebec Lake, Springwood Cottages features 1,000 feet of shoreline, with a beautiful shallow sand beach, nestled within one of the many bays of the lake.  Kennebec Lake is known to have very clean water, so when you and your children go swimming in Kennebec Lake, you can be comfortable knowing the waters provide a safe and refreshing experience.

One of the best features of the Springwood Cottages beach, is the shallow waters. If you look in the picture below, you will see a rock island on the left side; at that point the water is less than 2 feet deep. Having the shallow water is great for monitoring children and keeping the beach, that much more safe. We placed a floating raft out in the deeper waters, for those individuals who enjoy jumping into the deeper areas. You can see the floating raft if you look closely at the right edge of the beach umbrella.

Our beach offers tons of soft, clean sand that is perfect for building sand structures, playing volleyball, jogging, body burying, and more.   As a matter of fact, we have many sand castle contests throughout the summer.
